Stephanie (Mikey) McFarland
How did you come in contact with Leesley Films?
I answered an ad on Craigslist for a violinist for the film.
How important is the story of “Apparition” to you personally?
I believe the message that’s in “Apparition” is true in our personal lives. I do believe that the unseen forces attempt to affect us in negative ways, and we must be strong to overcome them.
What did you like about the character you played in the movie?
It’s the first acting job I’ve had where I can simply play myself.
What are the differences in the film, “Apparition” compared to other Christian films?
Other Christian movies cram religion down your throat to a point where you’re uncomfortable watching it. “Apparition” brings it to you in a cognitive matter that allows your spirit to digest it in a manner where you can receive the message in a language your heart understands.
How much time do you/have you devoted to the production of the movie?
I‘ve been actively working on the film since almost the beginning. In average, 12 – 14 hours per week.
What is/are your long-term goals in the Christian film industry?
I would like Leesley Films to grow to the point where we’re getting a film out every two years that carries a similar message of giving yourself over to Jesus.
How was the atmosphere when you were on the set?
Calm and jovial.
What do you have on your resume with this type of work?
I worked on an educational film that explored the dichotomy of in-home schooling versus traditional, public education. While growing up I used to help my mom produce local productions of big name artists as they would come and do shows. The list goes on.
Getting to know Jamison has set me on a path to explore my own artistry, which has allowed me to create a space for other artists to launch their own art.
You’re going to love this film!
